MobileGo is a cross-platform gaming cryptocurrency. It is currently available on 12 major exchanges, including Bitfinex, Idax, Livecoin, Yobit, and others. The gaming ecosystem for MobileGo is not completely functional yet. But some aspects of the system can be used today.
In this article, we will explore how the MobileGo system is intended to work and what you can do today to get involved.
What is MobileGo?
MobileGo is a cryptocurrency that developers can use to make payouts in Esports tournaments. The developers of MobileGo plan to charge a fee to enter these tournaments using a centralized currency called “GN Gold.” You can earn GN Gold by simply playing games that are part of the MobileGo ecosystem.
You can also earn GN Gold by renting out your processor bandwidth to other users.
When a player has enough GN Gold, he will be able to enter tournaments that pay out MobileGo as a prize. He can then use his MobileGo to buy games or premium in-game items. Alternatively, he can sell his MobileGo to another player for cash, allowing that player to buy games the player is interested in.
How to earn GN Gold and Mobile Go
There are currently no major tournaments that payout MobileGo as a prize. But you can start earning GN Gold right now by playing certain games. When the MobileGo tournaments are held, GN Gold will be used to pay entry fees. So it may make sense to get started now.
Getting started with GN Gold.
To get started earning GN Gold, navigate to the official GNation website. Click create account. Put in your email address, make up a screen name, and create a password. The screen name cannot have any capital letters (Yeah, we know, it’s pretty strange). And the password must have a capital letter.
After submitting this information, scroll down and click the box saying that you agree to the terms of service. Once you’ve submitted this form, you’ll be sent a confirmation email.
After clicking the link in the email, you’ll be able to get access to the GN Gold platform. Click get free GN Gold to acquire your first 50 tokens. Keep in mind that GN Gold is a centralized currency. There is no blockchain backing it.
In order to get the decentralized cryptocurrency Mobile Go, you will need to play in major tournaments that charge a GN Gold entry fee. These tournaments are not currently available.
Games that pay GN Gold
Here is a list of games that currently payout GN Gold. Tournaments last 24 hours. The player with the worst score at the end of the tournament receives 6 GN Gold. The player with the best score receives 100 GN Gold.
Color Frenzy is a timed puzzle game with a Candy Crush Saga vibe. The rectangle at the bottom of the screen tells you which color squares to pop. Click on the correct color squares to pop them. The squares above them will fall into place, and new squares will appear.
Every few seconds, the rectangle at the bottom will change to a different color. You have to stay on your toes to keep up.
If you pop enough squares, more seconds will be added to the timer. The longer you last, the higher your score.
Golf Solitaire/Solitaire Champion
This game’s title appears as Solitaire Champion from within the website. But the actual in-game title shows as Golf Solitaire. It’s possible that the developer wants to change the name, but hasn’t gotten around to doing so from within the game.
Regardless, this game has nothing to do with golf. It’s just your typical solitaire game, except for the fact that you are playing in a tournament against multiple people.
In Slice Wars, various types of fruit come flying up from the bottom of the screen. If you swipe across the screen with your cursor while holding down the mouse-button, a sword or knife slice will be displayed across the screen.
For each fruit you slice, you receive points. However, if you swipe three bombs, the game ends. The game also ends if you run out of time.
In Hextris, you control a hexagon-shaped object. This object can be moved to the right or left using your keyboard arrow keys.
Meanwhile, colored bars fall inwards from the outside of the board. When these bars hit your hexagon, they become stuck to it. Over time, they build up. If one of them touches the grey area around your hexagon, the game ends.
If three bars of the same color land on top of each other, they disappear, shrinking your hexagon and giving you more time. The longer you last, the higher your score.
Checking your rank and receiving rewards
When the tournament is still ongoing, you can check your rank by scrolling down and looking at your screen name on the list.
Once a tournament has completed, you can add your new GN Gold to your total by clicking on rewards from the main menu and selecting claim reward.
Using GN Boost to earn GN Gold
In addition to earning GN Gold by playing games, you can also rent out your CPU power to other players in exchange for GN Gold. To do so, click the grid icon in the upper-right corner and select GN Boost.
You’ll be taken to another website where you can download the GN Share client. Or you can click here to go directly to the site.
Farming GN Gold using the GM Share client feels very similar to cryptocurrency mining. But don’t be fooled. GN Gold is a centralized currency, not a cryptocurrency.
Games to Purchase Using MobileGo
Once the first MobileGo tournaments have occurred, the players who have ranked highly will have MobileGo available to spend. This means the developers will need to have games that can be paid for with MobileGo.
Realizing this, the MobileGo team has formed a partnership with Xsolla. And Xsolla has announced that many of its most popular games will be available to purchase using MobileGo.
Here is a list of some of these titles.
In Agar, you play a small colored dot that moves around and eats even smaller dots. As you eat these dots, you become bigger. However, other players can eat you and absorb all of your power, in which case your game ends.
On the other hand, you can also eat other players if you get big enough. And if you get really big, it may take days or weeks for the other players to kill you off.
Agar is free to play, but players pay for the game through microtransactions. The in-game store has coins, DNA, potions, mass boost, skins, xp boost, and other items available for prices ranging between $2 to $100.
Champions Online is an MMORPG with a comic-book theme. It is free to play, but players who want perks in the game can buy Archetypes, Travel Powers, Become items, and other in-game advantages.
CrossOut is a post-apocalyptic MMO featuring crafted vehicle combat. Basically, it’s Mad Max as a 3D PvP game. It’s free to play, but hardcore fans of this game often spend from $10 to $100 on rapier cannons, Hot-Rod cabins, “Death Machine” armored cars, grenadier drones, and other items.
5Street is a social MMO focused on dancing. Players can outfit their characters with different styles of clothing and go out into the street to dance, talk, flirt, and mingle.
Like the others on this list, 5Street is free to play. But most of the popular players buy clothing for their characters with real money.
Age of Wushu
Age of Wushu is a fantasy kung-fu MMO set in medieval China. It features 8 different martial arts schools, aerial combat, and a fighting system that involves combos and counters.
Players of Age of Wushu often use real money to buy silver, which can be used to purchase martial arts lessons, horses, and many other in-game advantages.
Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition
Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition is a classic RPG that contains over 60 hours of gameplay. It is available for Windows, Android, Steam, and iOS for $9.99 to $19.99.
BlackShot Revolution: Global
Blackshot Revolution: Global is a competitive multiplayer shooting game similar to Overwatch and Fortnite. Players who are willing to get by with the default character appearances can play for free. But many players opt to buy gold and gems from the developer, which they use to purchase guns, armor, and other cosmetic items.
Cabal Online is an MMO that combines action and RPG elements. Classes available include Warrior, Blader, Wizard, Force Archer, Force Shielder, Force Blader, Gladiator, and Force Gunner. Players can adventure in the Catacomb Frost, Panic Cave, Steamer Crazy, and Lava Hellfire dungeons as well as quest in above-ground adventures.
Cabal Online is free to play, but players often buy Extreme Core Pockets and Repair Kits for their characters using real money.
Other MobileGo games
In addition to these games, Xsolla has also pledged that it will make many other titles available to purchase using MobileGo, including Cossacks3, Crystal Saga, Dragon Knight, Dragon Nest, Dragon Saga: Arcadia, Earthfall, Forsaken World: Blood Harvest, God Wars, and many others.
How to buy MobileGo
If you are interested in the MobileGo ecosystem and want to take part in it right away, you can buy MobileGo from the following cryptocurrency brokers:
In order to buy from these exchanges, you’ll need Ether or Bitcoin. You can get Bitcoin or Ether here.
MobileGo is a cryptocurrency whose ecosystem is still in development. It cannot yet be used to buy games, and the tournaments in which it will be awarded as a prize have not yet occurred.
Still, the developer has created an interesting system for farming GN Gold through online gaming tournaments. And through cooperation with Xsolla, it has taken steps to make many popular MMOs and other games provide revenue in the form of MobileGo.
If you are interested in the MobileGo ecosystem, we suggest that you try out a few of these games yourself. If you like what you see, you may want to consider buying MobileGo before the tournaments become available. Or you may want to accumulate GN Gold in the hopes of winning MobileGo in these tournaments.
Either way, this is what MobileGo is and how it works.
